Remote File Access (RFA)

Access to the department network drives can be done remotely through the Remote File Access system. You can remotely access your Restricted (R), Share (S) and User (U) drives through Internet Explorer or through the My Network Places icon on a computer outside of the UF HSC. Use this tool only on computers you trust (e.g. your home computer or your laptop) and not on public computers that are likely to have spyware and viruses on them. Use these web folders just like you would a regular window on your work computer: double click to open them, drop and drag items as well as open and save Office documents (Except Access databases and Outlook PST files).

Because of recent security changes, to access this feature you must be connected to either the Campus or HSC VPN. Instructions on how to configure your system to use one of these VPN systems is available by clicking here.
