Outlook 2003 Configuration (On Campus)

Setting up Outlook 2003 to link to your departmental account is simple. The steps below are used for systems which will only be run on a UF network. If you are setting up a laptop or a home system use the Remote Outlook 2003 setup instructions.

  1. Start Outlook 2003 and it should prompt you to Choose a profile. Select the default and then click Next to continue with the Account Configuration as shown in Figure A. Select Yes to configure an account then click Next to continue.

  2. The next screen asks for the server type, select Microsoft Exchange Server and then click Next to continue. (Figure B)

  3. Now you areprompted to enter the server and user name. Enter MEDEXCHANGE02 for the server and your department login for the user name as shown in Figure C.

  4. Click Next to continue. You may be prompted to select which user you are if more than one possible match is returned for the user name you entered.
  5. At this point your Outlook is configured and you can click the Finished button to start using the program. (Figure D)
